Coffee at its best

Coffee at its best

Coffee is an institution woven into the daily rituals of life in Italy.

Arriving through Venice and in the 1500s when Venetian merchants traded with the Ottoman Empire. In 1700 Cafe Florian opened its doors and more than 326 years later is still trading, such is the enduring love of coffee.

Coffee culture often combines social gathering, conversation, art and music, something Italy has in spades.

It was Italian Luigi Bezzera who patented the espresso machine in 1901. Without which your morning shot would lack that crema and distinct flavour.
